never fished here but was going to head over there in the morning....if you're familiar with the lake, will these storms tonight shut them off for a few days? and i know it's a fairly shallow lake....will the hard rain muddy it up? thanks

Fish the weeds in the middle of the lake. Not sure about the rain. Just go, and post tomorrow with your results and pics.
BRM, are you guy's open on sat.? i've got an express X17 that's got part of the instrument panel on the bow coming apart. need to see what it's gonna take to fix it....might be something i can do myself....don't really know.
Biggest crappie I've seen on the hoof came from Wappanocca. My dad (now deceased) caught 1 that went 2.4. I weighed it when it came out of the water. This was just out the run and to the right. It was also several years ago in the mid 1990's. It was a day with a hard north wind and I was sick as a dog with the flu. We/he caught 2 fish. The one was a biggun.
good luck. Let us know how you do.
well, don't know if it was the weather that moved through last night or if i just don't know how to catch crappie, but wapanocca was not friendly today. scratched out 4 keepers, but daughter hooked one that was big as i've ever seen in the water....got off halfway to the boat :(.....dad was way more devastated than she was
I wouldn't be surprised if the weather didn't have them messed up. Good to hear there is still a big one in there.
thought i'd post a pic of my fishin' partner yesterday....purdiest one i've ever had!!! :) and a dang good crappie catcher to boot!!!Attachment 67872
Hey Speck - I saw you Saturday. I was in the tan Seaark with a Nissan on the back spider riggin the weeds in the middle. You were going from pads to the middle and back. Iam glad I ran out of minnows because I did well jiggin the weeds, black and chartruce. Holler at me next time.
well dog-gone, i sure wish i'd have known that was you. i talked to crappieking friday and then several times sat. morning and he never mentioned you being there. me and the daughter didn't fair too well. only caught one jiggin the grass, picked the rest of em up spidder rigging jigs.
