Rewind 35 years. I was born with a fishing pole in my hand. I've dreamed of the day I would own my very own boat and that dream came true for me just a month ago. She wasn't just perfect, but she had great bones and with a little love, tlc, and a little more dinero, she could be all that.
So after dropping around another $800 in accessories and taking the time to tweak her that much closer to perfection, my dad and I set off to give it a whirl. Yeah I knew that the weather forecast was miserable and the conditions lacked much to be desired, but this was it.. that moment I've been waiting on my whole life... the moment when boat hits water....

EVERYTHING has been checked and double checked so I jump in the driver seat of the boat with my Pops at the wheel of my girl truck and we begin backing down the ramp. With my chest poked out and a possum grin we get closer to the water. 75 feet. 50 feet.. 25 feet... 15....

OK.....now for the rest of the story.....how did you get it back on the trailer?
Must have really been a steep ramp......only ramp so far where I have not unhooked the front of my boat is that ramp at the state park at Enid....its pretty steep.

By the grace of God my winch was just long enough to reach. One fine fellow from Missouri bent over backwards to try to help and then 2 other Sippi boys pitched in as well. With the 4 of us lifting and my Pops winching, we got it done. Not as easy as it sounds. Had just put 28 gallons in the tank.
