Guys did I luck out

Scott, Wayne and I were out fishing this morning, Scott will have to post pixs etc. about that seeing how he caught the most, biggest and smallest and when I got home had a message from Kohl's to call them. Seems like I had ordered a $467 watch and they were just checking with me about it. Of course I had never ordered it so they took it off and told me to call Discover Card which I did and it seems I had also charged $2000 to some place I had never heard of so DC went over all my charges and those were the only 2 that were not mine. They cancelled my old # and are sending me a new card. 1st time for me, called my son in Albuquerque and he told me same thing happened to him last month and he found it when he got his bill so I'm pretty lucky Kohl's called me and we could nip it in the bud.

have you ordered any Bandits lately off their website?

Happened to me 3 weeks ago with my MC. Fraud people called me at 2:20 am to see ifn I just used my card. Told em it was kinds hard to use it when I was asleep! Anyway they disapproved the charges and sent me a new card. So reckon I was lucky too

Yup, I had ordered 40 bout 2 weeks before it happened.

Yep Kohl's is on the ball, saved me a lot of trouble. I have had Discover call me too but not lately, should have caught at least the $2000 one.

It happened to me for about 800-900 bucks before Bank of America caught it. They called me and we went over the bogus charges and took them off. And come to think of it I had ordered some bandits also.

Well I guess payin close to five bucks locally don't seem so bad any more

I will let you do that from now on.

I had somebody put 2 extra Directv boxes and changed my account to a premium package. They canceled the two boxes after an ordeal of makin me get the serial numbers off the access cards. Then bout a month later tge sent me 2 shipping boxes to send the 2 bogus receivers back to em. When I got off tge phone that last time I think they understood I didn't have but 1 living room with only 1 receiver in it.

Fraud is a pain in the backside.... If people are smart enough to steal from a Semi-secure system, why cant they find a job servicing computers or somethin?

Was reading this and it rung a bell.Three months ago I ordered some bandits and two weeks later Chase called me with some questional charges.It turned out someone had ordered some sexy clothing from New Orleans for $400 plus.Bigger can attest I don't wear anything sexy.Just wondering if anyone at bandit has heard of this problem?

Wow this is some good info. Is this from one site or many? I want to avoid these sites at all cost, can afford something like this to happen.

I ordered some from Bandit several months ago and a coworker also ordered some at the same time. Within 2 weeks we both had some odd charges on our cards. His was a discover and mine was a visa. The card companies caught them both and didn't allow the charges to go thru. Somebody has hacked into Bandits computers and they still don't know it.:eek: I just hope it's not some employees.

i had that happen to me back in april and i have never been so mad and frustrated in my life. its not a good feeling at all.

Seems they only hit a person one time and then move to the next person. Keeps folks from asking to many questions. I had a girl at Academy Sports one day that wouldn't let me run my own card through the scanner. She told me she needed my card for a random security check so she got it and called to the office and ran my number. Well, she said she was calling the office, betting it was her BF or someone that was stealing my card info. Man, I was prouf of Academy at first, thinking they were on top of things and trying to make sure nothing got stole. About a week later, my credit card company called and asked if I had bought a bus ticket to somewhere on the East coast and a bunch of other crap

They probably use a call center somewhere in the middle east to take their orders. Credit card companies are starting to get wise when it comes to fraud. I deal with a bank out of Nebraska that calls me several times a day when our cardholders use their cards. I was told that they do hit a couple of times and then ditch the number. Gift cards are the big thing- no way to trace them.

My debit card took a hit around the first of june this year and it too was just a couple of weeks after ordering from Bandit luers. The way I found out was I went to use my card and they told me it was denied, well knowing that I had money in the bank I told them they were crazy. Come to find out someone had gotten my number and tried to charge a ticket to Germany on it and my bank just cancelled my card BUT THEY DIDN'T LET ME KNOW !!! And I was leaving for vacation in Florida in two days !!

I sent this thread to Bandit's accounting dept. but have not heard a word back.

I would limit my buying Bandits to In-stores only.

Dang, I was needin to order some more bandits, reckon I will get them some place else.
Rather pay more up front than deal with havin bogus charges on my CC.

I would like to know what Bandit has to say about this. I hope they get this FIXED asap!

Been following this thread. Interesting "coincidence" ya'll have come up with. Just popped over to Banditlures.com and put a special in my cart and the web address is showing https:\xxxxxxxetc. The s designation is supposed to mean that the website is secure....I assume some industry standard that shows they've met the standards for x level of security. Of course, the Pentagon has been hacked so, there's only so much comapny's can do.

Somebody in the know ought to point this thread out to 'em. Heck, for a free box of baits, I'd be willing to guinny pig my credit card through their website to see if anything comes of it.
