I’m a Lucky Man
While I didn't catch many fish today, or lately for that matter, I did get to see some things today that made me stop and offer thanks. I went over to Titusville to try a new area I was told of. Great place that I’ll go back to when the wind isn’t so high. To start the day, I hadn’t even gotten to where I was going and had this to greet my first day of the new year. A moonrise at sunrise. Never seen one like this before.

Along the way I kept seeing ducks…..everywhere! This is their wintering grounds and before the day was done I saw clouds of them numbering in the thousands. Didn’t get close enough for an ID but it was something I haven’t seen since I ran the roads and saw more than this in the Arkansas rice fields. I was speechless, then and now.
It was a good trip but slow enough that I packed up and took the drive home at around 10:00. Total fish was one trout and a 12” redfish. Another good thing I found was a healthy grass flat. Not many of those in this part of the east coast. Thanks for coming along, hope to see you soon as well. Til then……Skeet.

That was a perfect trip, as you didn’t have to spend hours cleaning fish! LOL
I really enjoyed the post.
Great pics.
I think people, that spend time in the great outdoors, find more time to be greatfull.
I am constantly amazed, it can be clouds, sunrise, sunset, wildlife…. my better half says that’s the 5 year old in me.

Older a man gets he realizes that actually catching fish is a bonus to just going fishing.
