Went out this morning to play with my Humminbird 997cSI and found some crappie beds and also some bluegill beds. Thought I would show what a bluegill bed looks like.
If you look close, you can see fish inside the beds.

Now that is pretty darn cool! Am I looking at htis right, is it 4' water depth?
Yes, it is 4 feet deep.
Everytime somebody posts some of these pictures, my wallet starts twitching. I don't need one...I don't need one....I don't need one......Maybe I'll start to believe it if I say it enough.:(
The reason I got this unit was to find bluegill beds. I scanned a small cove the other day and found 3 big pods of bluegill beds. It took me about 15 minutes to scan the whole cove. It would have taken me several hours to cast the banks all the way around the cove trying to locate the beds. This thing is just awsome.
1weezer.....my wife is going to hate you:D
going to have one on my boat by the end of the year ......somehow.
1weezer do you know the difference between the 797 and the 997 other that the screen size?
I got a 797ci this spring and I can't beleive the detail on these units. Lakes I have fished my whole life and I find out something new everytime out.
Tim

Thanks,
