I just wanted to say this....I think lake Conway is beautiful and it's a great fishery...my main concern is that I went to the highway 89 bridge for a little while today and it is absolutely disgusting with trash trash and more trash...beer cans, whiskey bottles, bait containers, etc....absolutely pitful...is there anyone out there who drives a darn about this issue
It happens everywhere . Sad people say they love the outdoors then trash it . We have a guy on Nimrod that walks and picks up trash left by others . He told me he has even had people make rude comments and laugh at him for doing it . :mad: I have to commend him for caring enough . The locals who bank fish , hunt or ride around drinking are the worst .:bash
Unfortunately there are more people everyday that do this stuff. Sad indeed.

Trash begets trash. Think about it.
Makes me sick too. It is behavior like this that will cause an area to get closed down. It's a shame this happens but it does. We see the same thing at the dam. I have picked up so many bags of trash down there. It burns me up. We have tried putting trash cans or dumpsters in areas like this but people bring there house hold trash and abuse the service. Same thing with portapotties. I wish more people would take pride in our natural resources and areas. Just makes me sick!Quote:

Yes, it's the norm everywhere. And it is sad. All we can do is teach our kids and grandkids not to be idiots. I'm sure most of you would agree with a statement I heard from a colleague of mine..."People are nice. The public sucks."
We could probably arrange that. Unfortunately, we have a creel survey going on Greers Ferry right now and the three of us are already working two weekend days a month. It may be difficult to convince them to work another Saturday. I will let you know if I can get something together.Quote:
