I think she is ready
My wife came to me a while back and told me she wanted to get a concealed weapons license. Being a responsible gun owner I told her that she had to start coming to the range with me and practicing until she can prove to me that she can safely and accurate handle a handgun before we would start the paperwork for her license. I think she's ready now! That's her target on the left.

Looks to me like she's ready at least on the shooting end. Good job.

Good on the shooting end. What pistol does she want?

She's looking at the Glock 43 for carry or possibly the M&P Sheild. I've always said that it all comes down to what feels best in her hand. They are all good guns, and shoot more accurately that a person can. She was shooting her 9mm XD and my Kimber 1911 at the range.

I love my .45 XD 3.3, good shooter and excellent carry piece.

Had my first jam running my defense loads Winchester PDX1 124grain +P thru this weekend at deer camp. First jam ever, ran probably 200 hundred target loads thru it. Just take it to consideration, the slide is extremely tight and recoil is a bit more than a full size 9mm. Here a lot of women prefer the G42 over the 43 due to these issues.
