43 can be handled fine with practice...Snubbys...scrub the crap out of that chamber.. Probably needs a hard cleaning, being new...one jam is one too many with defensive ammo....shoot it some more..
If it jams...change ammo

I use Hornady Critical defense ammo in the 43 and the 42 , and the 27 , .....never had a jam. My wife carries a Glock 42
You really don't need plus Ps for defense as most times its gonna be close range
I'm worried that as my wife gets older her hand strength will get weaker, and can't rack the slide, so as of now she shoots a 5 shoot 357 smith revolver. She shoots it very well too....:highfive
She handles my .45's without issue, granted they are all steel framed 1911's. The only one she has issue with is my IPSC competition gun, but only because of the heavy main spring. She is set on a nine since her range gun is also 9mm but I have made her aware that the smaller frame carry type guns have a more pronounced recoil. She doesn't seem to phased by the prospect of it.

Would not want her banging away at me.:pray
I will do.. bout time for a cleaning anyways. Run Federal HST thru my .40. May give them a go in the glock 43. And yes sir, ..G, plus P aren't necessary, I just like a little more penetration. Got some well fed and thicked clothed crooks around here, [emoji23] [emoji23] [emoji23] [emoji23]

Revolvers are always a great choice..no slides, no stove pipes...very reliable...not as much strength required....no safeties...easy to use with minimal training...I still carry my model 60 a good bit.
If it requires more than 6 shots you most likely need a grenade .I carry a smith 38 revolver way more than an auto . Simply because I have had it longer and shoot it better . Most likely because it has been my favorite for years . (only one I owned for 30 yrs . ):biggrin
Never leave home without your piece!!
