Decided on the Boat
I think I have decided on the boat. I want to thank everyone for their input.
And the Winner is.
Ranger 188 w/ 115 HP Yamaha 4-Stroke.
So I'm going to ask one last time for input from everyone that has any experience with the Ranger.
Thanks again for the info

Nice rig buddy of mine rolled up on me yesterday with his new one. Awesome boats
-
looks like a fine rig.....when you get it, don't forget to post pictures of it in the thread "Post Your Boat Pictures Here"....that's the 3rd one from the top.....

Don't know about the boat, but a buddy of mine has the 115 Yamaha and loves it, not sure if it is the 2 stroke or 4 stroke but I know he can go at least 110 miles on a tank of gas. Not sure on the size of tank but I think it was 19 gallons.

Please let me know how you like this boat. I am seriously looking at the Ranger Also. I think it's by for the best aluminum boat out there. The 188 might be a little too much boat for me. I like the Rt 178 but wish you could put a bigger motor on it. Good luck. Look forward to seeing your pictures.

Congrats on the new boat.

Those are really nice boats and you can't go wrong with the Yamaha. Sent you a pm.

I got to looking I wish they made the 617t in alum. That's a sleek setup. But I'm with you on the part on the motor on the 178. If your not gonna be happy with a smaller eng I would go for the 188. I bought a 17 targa with a 70 back in 98 and I'm still kicking my self for not getting the 18 with the 115.

It was btwn the 188 ranger and the xpress for me I went with the xpress and love it but can not say anything bad about the ranger either
