Now that's cool
Interesting....
Heard my dad tell about a fellow that built a house entirely out of scrap lumber. He said that studs may be several wide to give them strength. Said it probably had more wood in it than a house that used all studs. I once saw a documentry about a Community in New Mexcio where all of the houses are built out of recycled material. Let me tell you most of these houses are real nice. It is in Touse, N.M. I may not have spelled the name of the town right but it sounds like you are saying mouse but with a T. If I remember right the houses are about 18 miles North of Town. Only problem I found were that there are no lakes nearby.
Visit your favorite third world country and that pallet house is a common sight.
Saw a house on tv once built with soda bottles
Not to down those living in third world countries but it is amazing what people can do with a little of nothing when they put their minds to it.
That's cool. I believe it's Taos, NM.
Once upon a time those oak pallets cost $5.00 each. No telling what they cost now. You see lots of pickups hauling them somewhere. Once had an uncle that used them
to build pig pens. Not a bad idea for building a grand-kids playhouse. Would even make a good deer blind. Interesting.
