Fished 8-4:30 and didn't find any bait till 3:30 when the sun came out for 30 min. Water temp was 48-50.
I have decided to classify myself as a beginner again. This is the 2nd time in the last 6 months I have been skunked.:banghead:bash

Same thing happened to me today:bangheadO wait I forgot to go:Doh:
I've been crappie fishing for about a year now and I certainly classify myself as a beginner. I've been skunked more than twice in the past 6 months. I read on one of the forums to hire a guide for one day and it would pay dividends. I found that to be true. I caught the most keepers yesterday that I have ever caught. Yesterday was my first trip since spending a day with a very well known Lake Jackson "dock shooter". Whatever works!
Lake Jackson-----Slab Slobber
Time on the water with a guide or other experienced crappie angler is worth it, especially when they use Slab Slobber!
Know the feeling
I used Slab Slobber. I hope this isn't an indication of how well it works. I fished with Earl a lot 10-12 years ago and pretty much knew everything he knew. I started shooting skeet and quit fishing. And have forgotten some of the details I used to know. But, it will come back after some "shakedown" runs.:biggrin
Don, you only knew what I taught you not everything I knew! LMBO
