Anybody fished Warrior River lately?

I've been a few times lately. Only success I've had was fishing large tops in creeks around 4' deep in 12' - 20' of water. They only wanted minnows and I've only had 1 hit a jig. I've heard of some folks doing a little better spider rigging channel ledges but I'm not quite set up for that yet so I haven't tried.

I'm setup for both. Just haven't been lately but def getting cabin fever!! Got a few new toys and they NEED using!!! Think I may get on the water this weekend, weather permitting

Where's the closest bait shop selling minnows?

Depends where you want to launch, but I stop at Birmingport Grocery on 269. Good folks there and they have tuffies, which I like better than shiners.

Was planning on launching at G's Landing.....wasn't sure if they had minnows this early in the year.

Yes Garland always has minners. If he ain't there just get what you want and put the money in the mailbox. Please however be honest and pay for the minners. That's why I fish there because I can always count being able to get bait.

Absolutely....wouldn't have it any other way!! Hopefully we can catch a few!! I will def let you know how we did!!

I tried it this afternoon. Launched at Howton's. Hope y'all don't mind the smell... Got SKUNKED! I'm going to try it again tomorrow afternoon. Hopefully there will be better results.
