Went yesterday and had much better results. Caught 13 in the tops in 15 fow, fishing 4' deep with minnows. We caught 1 over 15" and had 4 or 5 more 12"-13". I'll sure take it. I can't wait 'til next weekend after all these 60 plus degree days.
I know the thread is a little old now but do y'all have good luck fishing in and around Lost Creek? The section of the river between Bluff Creek and the Gorgas steam plant is a part that I haven't fished in forever. I'm considering doing some exploring on that part of the river due to all my usual spots getting really popular. It's part of crappie season though, I suppose.
It's a good area to fish....lots of treetops, logjams, and grass to choose from. Do most of my fishing from G's Landing back to the river. Haven't really ventured up Lost Creek from that point. The area looks very fishable just from looking at maps, etc. I plan on scouting out a few places this spring. Will post what I find.
Walker County Shoals and White Oak creeks are good. The crappie on that river can be real tricky sometimes.
