Well I gave spiderigging a try for the first time today. Started out sunny and put two fish in the boat and lost another, then the clouds rolled in and the bite seemed to quit then it got real chilly. Glad I had a jacket with me. Here's what I brought homeAttachment 80984.
Good job Hal. It wont be long and you will have 8 poles in the water and a gar on every other pole. Keeping fish there they are in there.

what kinda rod holders do you use?? i use Hi tek. 8 B&M trolling rods 2x 12', 4 x 11', 2 x 10'

Stay after it you are just scratching the surface. Try different color every rod and different depths until you find what the want. Also try different speeds.
Spider rigging is a great way to harvest crappie, and many enjoy it I assume from the multitudes of boats out there that resemble a russian trawler....and one day I might hang racks and gizmo's from one end to the other on my ole boat, but that day ain't come yet. If the bite is really slow,,I may pick up another rod, double the chances, so to speak, but chances are I'll just putter along and catch a few here and there....with my one rod...and spend that time enjoying what nature has to offer, to me,,its a more relaxed way to fish. So glad its a free country, where we have all these wonderful choices.
