Plastic bodies or mariou style?
I'm just curious because I've never given the maribou style jigs a fair chance. I just grew up fishing 1" 1/2 tube style jigs my whole life and was wondering if any of you guys have had much luck with the latter?

use plastic...but down in Texas used a hard painted body on lead with a buck hair tail, was Chart. and white...did wonders on Lake Fork for Slabs under the bridge piles there..
But all time favorite in Arkansas lakes is a 1/16oz jig plastic Black and Chart.
I'd have to say my all time fav would be green/white or blue/white tipped with a minner of course :p
I have always liked a solid white hair jig but am starting to really like the bobby garland plastics! (blue thunder, red shad, electric chicken):)
plastic any day of the week, hands down
MidSouth plastic body tube jigs, hands down the best jig out there!
I only use 2'' umbrella tube baits by Southern Pro on a 1/8 oz leadhead.
I use plastics and hair jigs both have there place and time that work well the key is to believe in the jig you are using.
Noslab.
Back when I used to actually get to fish for Crappie the most fish I caught were on red and white plastic tube jigs, never tried the nibbiles. Had a friend fished for Crappie a lot his favorite was blue and white but had to have metal flake.
Plastics bobby garland stroll R' is my #1 . Hand tied jigs are great also. I use meatgetter jigs they are Great!!!
