 I know, kinda of a sad joke anymore.
Ok, we grew it on the farm as a kid. We ate it raw or steamed it. I planted some this fall and have a beautiful, bug-free heavy stand of kohlrabi. I thinned it also soon after it came up so its a dandy crop. What do those of ya all who eat it do with it? I have been on cooks.com and also the horticultural sites but wanted feedback from good ol American kohlrabi eaters,
everyday, run-of-the-mill type stuff.
I appreciate any and all info and thank you.
I would just peel it, slice it thin, season with salt pepper and chow down.
Also might peel, slice thin then slightly moisten and microwave for about 30 seconds, check to see of they are softening up, if not just zap for another 5 seconds. Serve up and enjoy.:D:D:D
Nothing better than HOME GROWN fresh vegetables.
I envy you, being able to grow your own garden. I had a great garden when I lived in North Carolina, but now I am living in Florida and the development where I live the lots are to small for gardening.:mad:
