When the guy grabbed one of the 16’ ACC poles, he got a shock bad enough it made him jump back. He went to grab it again and there was a noise that was heard all thru the boat. It was like when you get up off of furniture in the winter then touch something. It snapped. I told him to leave the rods in the holders and get under the top. When he grabbed the Millennium seat, it shocked him again. I got the boat as close to a steep bank as safely possible and we idled all the way to the marina.
I’ve experienced graphite rods humming from static electricity. It’s not a pleasant feeling!
