Catching so many on minnows right now, I haven’t pulled out the jig rods lately. But I picked up some jigs from Keith @ Black Sheep jigs today and my new jig box came today too. So pretty I had to show somebody. Attachment 488274

Nice. What is the material around some of them where the chenille usually is? Thats unusual and something different.
It’s a plastic “wing” that is supposed to make it flutter on the way down. They were always referred to as No Alibi jigs in SC. There was a gentleman up near Lake Wylie that use to make thousands every year. I thought when he retired, that I wouldn’t be able to get any more. But Mr Jim Rector with Crappie Cookies is making them again and doing really nice ones. Im lucky to have two great tiers nearby with Keith and Jim.
Sweet!
Could you take a couple close-up shots of the No-Alibi Jigs, Please. Thank you in advance.
Sure. It may take me a few days. Fishing the next 3.
Nice assortment
That's a great looking selection...!
Looks good! You do a good job of finding the unusual stuff!
those no alibi jigs are a locally well known top secret jig, the supposed trick to them though was the head, which your jigs do not have, his head was more of a torpedo type tube style with the eye a bit further back, trollers and single polers both hold that original in very high regard. ive been told he showed several folks how to make the skirting but had the only known mold for the head and while he did offer to sell it was very expensive and to my knowledge thier weren't any takers. somebody please correct me if im wrong thier.
a bit of useless knowledge and history lesson lol.
