Remembering “G”

One year ago we lost our friend “G”. Prayers for his family and friends on this difficult day. May God bless and keep you all.

Wished I could have meet David or "G" here on cdc. We PM'd several times and he was a friend to everyone. He is missed. Thoughts and prayers to family and friends.

That also is a really good looking plate of fish and potato salad in that pic. It's making me so hungry now!

David was a good guy who would call me occasionally to just see how things were going. I just wish I had gotten the chance to fish with him.

He left a legacy here on this site. Shall we all strive to be more like G. He touched the lives of many here. God Speed ol Friend

Yes indeed ... my man "G" came along at the most opportune time, not only for Slab & the site, but for me as well. I'd been pretty much the one & only "moderator" for years & many site updates (not to mention the ever increasing volume of members). "G" comes along and helps get things settled, in order, and takes over the processing of new member admittance. To say that our banning of "bad actor" members declined rather rapidly after that would be an understatement. "G" nipped'em in the bud, before they appeared on the radar of the other Admin. personnel.

He even declined the prizes awarded from any of the contests held on the site, offering to give them away or simply letting us know that he would decline them (so we'd run the number generator again to find a winner). His name came up so many times as the winner of the TTI Blakemore Road Runner Contest that I MADE him take the prize pack :Rofl I don't know if he ever got around to using any of them, or if he gave them away to kids he happened to run into at the lake, or what ... I just know he was that kinda guy and we all loved him for it.

Missed, but never forgotten. R.I.P. brother

He was certainly a great guy and a great friend. Brings a tear to my eye every time I think of his passing. All I know is, that first line on that banner below, where it says "100% Family Friendly", is all his fault! When I waivered, he pulled me back in.

"G" has certainly been missed. You just cannot replace men like him. R.I.P.

"G" and I were friends on another fishing site and he told me about Crappie.com and I joined immediately. His influence and his memory on this site will always be commemorated and I was honored to be his friend. Our prayers and our gratitude for knowing David will and should always be with us.
