Red Bleeder
Here's the second jig of the day which is similar to the uh-huh jigs. Difference here, used red SF fiber underneath with white faux Bucktail over. This reduces the steps from the previous jigs where the red was tied over as the third step.Attachment 430895

That will certainly catch fish. Those colors have been very good to me

You need a test tank to show those off!

Thanks everybody.
Tied a second one in 1/16, the first one was 1/8.
Back to the original recipe with shell pink flash. I think I like it better.Attachment 430935Attachment 430936

If you used a small section of red thread next to the red faux buck tail would it simulate gills flaring?
-
Maybe.
Do you mean at just behind the head or at the back of the thread?
The front would be easy, the back a little harder.
I'm not real happy with the thread collars/bodys in the pictures, but they look pretty good in person. Still need a lot of work or better camera skills.
But....I think the collars can look very sharp on a jig so keep working at it.

Testing is tomorrow, in the biiiggg tank.

Just in front of the bucktail, so the backend of the thread . I wouldn't change that one, just a thought if you tied a new one. Your thread work is unique.
