Humminbird 360
Haven’t seen many reviews on the HB 360. The 360 mega or Mega Live still not out and livescope is difficult to find. Went with a friend yesterday and tried out his new livescope. He still learning the ropes with it but the live imaging is pretty cool. He loves to single pole structure so it will be a great addition to his fishing. I am more of a spider rigger and I think the livescope could be helpful, but the 360 seems like a better option. We all know waypoints are sometimes a little off and the 360 imaging seems like it would give a more accurate perspecive of where fish/structure is located in relation to the boat. Any of you guys that have a 360 have an opinion on its performance and how it helps? I am considering the 360 over the livescope.

I have a Humminbird 360 Mega Imaging unit and generally agree that it is an awesome tool... but far more so when the fish are favoring the bottom structure/cover features more then when they are suspended somewhere between the bottom and the water surface... as they often do throughout the year. When used in conjunction with other side-imaging, mega down imaging, and 2 d sonar, however, ... it totally rounds out an awesome imaging arsenal for just about any fish searching challenges.

I have the regular 360 and livescope on the front,if i had to pick one it would be livescope.Knowing 100%sure i'm fishing for a fish is my reasoning.Since livescope when spiderrigging i use 2-4 poles, can put bait on the fishes head so no need for 8 poles.I have also found schools of crappie with the livescope, never noticed them when i only had the 360(non mega). The best thing is to have both in the boat, combined they make fishing easier. If i was gonna do one only and decided on the 360 i would buy the new mega. The older ones if they go out cost alot to get repaired, look at the humminbird flat rate repair page.

My partner and I use mega 360 and livescope together. They are an awesome together. We spider rig, pull cranks and verticle fish depending on time of year and what the fish are doing. The mega works great while moving to locate structure. We look far enough out to get a decent picture and still be able to react to what we see coming. Livescope is like having a sniper on the boat. Find em and pic em off. If I could only have one of them my brain would explode. If I was only gonna be moving while fishing I would go with tye mega 360.

Appreciate the input my fishing friends. Still undecided but have more info on both. Cant get a 360 mega or a sonar screen from HB right now anyway. Theye have been on bsckorder forever. Not sure what their issue is. Mega Live has been postponed also. Have a friend who was waiting to buy the mega live but got tired and bought the LS Instead. Im sure he isnt the inly one done that.

I run Hummingbird mega and Livescope on front of boat. Hardly ever use the bird, but sometimes use the map feature and waypoints if I’m on an unknown portion of the lake.
I push minnows using forward view set about 5 feet in front of my rod tips. I fish 14-20 ft rods.
I am able to see my baits AND fish with the LS.
Two birds at console for side scan and maps. Of course, LS for vertical fishing.

I run Mega 360 when longlining or looking for structure including bluegill/Redear beds. Awesome tool. Crank pulling speeds make it hard to change boat course. In that scenario, I’m punching waypoints. I use mine much more than my 126sv Livescope.

Appreciate the info. I have a MK terrova so they may have the universal mounts too. Still undecided if going with the 360 mega or the mega live when its out. Have a feiend who has a livescope and he also has HB for DI and maps. The HB screens had a lot more clarity and less glare in the sun compared to the Garmin.
