When most of you pull cranks where have you set you rod holder at.I been trying to pull off my front holder and like to get the to the back of my boat. I seen driftmaster has a set up for the back of the boat. Any one like to post a picture or two of there pulling setup on back of boat. Thanks
I have Tite Loks and bought an extra set of mounting tracks that I put on the back of my boat. Can run the rod holders up front and now in the back.
That what I had thought about doing also. But not to sure of there to mount them and I hate drilling holes in my new boat for just a trail run.
Mine are home made, run 6 up front and 6 on the rear. Can move them for 10 if I like.
This is how I pull off of my Spyderlocs with an 8' 10' 12' 14' off of each side. I just bought another set of mounting plates and moved them to the back. If you're running really long lengths out the back to get really deep, then a 2' separation is a little tight, and will potentially cause more tangles, but is still doable. I do it this way because I like to keep my rod tips as close to the water as I can and if you're not at close to a 90 degree pulling angle with the tips down you are likely to hook a catfish and it will pull your rod out of the holder. Some people use the same length rods but tilt the tips up and can get greater separation that way but for me it's hard to judge just how much line is out of the water and how much is in the water making it difficult to know how deep I think my cranks are going.:twocents
I have mine up up toward the front and pull off the side. What kind of boat and do you have rails or a track?

Does your boat have a track in the gunnel rail? I had an aluminum bracket made, roughly 4”x4” and mounted the extra mounting track to it. I can slide this bracket anywhere along the t-rail I want to, front or back, and I did drill a single hole.Quote:

Just drill a few holes in the boat if need be, long as there not in the hull it will be okay. I pull off the sides as well from the front deck and face the stern. Same as blueball 16, 12, 8 and 410s with two. If I'm by myself, two 12s and two 8s is comfortable for me.Attachment 311607Attachment 311608
