Are you using just minnows for night fishing or will they bite a jig? Just wondering if they would hit jigs just sitting in a pole holder with no action imparted on them.

I think you have to jiggle it a little. Most of us just drop to bottom and reel up very slowly. I mean slowly maybe one turn of the handle in about a minute or slower. Flick tails do wonders. :twocents
