Seen this morning that there were 4 Asian carp caught on the lower end of wheeler yesterday. Apparently it was reported to local authorities who just so happen to be at first creek boat ramp doing a survey of the area. This is only the beginning before the numbers grow it is going to be sad to watch.
We all knew it was just a matter of time. I hate to see it coming though
Well looks like we may have to take up bow fishing to keep them thinned out.
Well. That is not good news.
This is horrible news....! They are severely impacting KY Lake.
Crap. I don't think bowfishing is going to put a dent in them. I've killed 1000's of fish while bowfishing but those carp are like a plague.

It's not good at all I had heard they was already at Guntersville I started hearing about them here on Pickwick last year and bow fishing isn't going to stop this problem. I'm on a group forum on facebook and I was shocked at the numbers they have on Kentucky lake and how they are growing I don't think once they get started the fishing will ever be the same.
I saw on the Ky. board the problems they are having and how they are looking for solutions. I realize that many Alabama fishermen do not fish Wheeler and Guntersville but would suggest we all act together to call our state legislators and U.S congress people and encourage them to act. We don't just need to sit back and hope it goes away. If these fish are in Wheeler they will soon be in Guntersville and the rest of the Tennessee River chain. This threat is real and we need to work together to help solve them problem.
