For you guys in my district, call Senator Clay Scofield ASAP. He's from Arab. I've known him for a long time. He KNOWS how important the fishery on Guntersville and the rest of the TN river is for the economy in our area. Here's his contact info: Alabama Legislature
Will Ainsworth is from Guntersville and is running for Lt Governor. Yank his chain and tell him your vote for him in the upcoming election depends on his response to this problem. Here's his contact info. Alabama Legislature
I've got Clays cell # and talk to him pretty often. I'm gonna yank his chain in the morning.

This is the word for word text that I sent Sen Scofield:
Hey Clay, I don't know if you've heard about this or not but there were 4 Asian Carp caught on Wheeler Lake. If those things make it to Guntersville, it's going to ruin our lake. If you don't know the biology of the Asian Carp, I'd recommend looking them up. They decimate fisheries when they move in. This is a HUGE dea. (using a Trump term)
If you could get AU fisheries and Montgomery to get involved with a plan on ridding the TN river of them, you'd be a hero to the fishing and outdoors community. If you can get Ainsworth involved with this, and actions get taken soon, this will almost assure him of the Lt Governors position.
End text...
Guys, in case I didn't make it clear enough, Will Ainsworth is running for Lt Governor. If the fishing community gets behind this in force, telling Ainsworth that YOUR vote for HIM hinges on Montgomery's actions to prevent these Carp from taking over our river, then he'll get to work NOW. He wants that job and he wants it as a stepping stone to the Governors mansion.
I don't know Will personally but I do know Scofield personally and I've now put the bug in his ear. I need the troops to rally and get behind this.... Thanks Coach for the motivation to do this.

They are an invasive species. Look on the Ky. Board. There is a lot of discussion on there about them. They are destroying Ky. lake. They eat all the plankton and vegetation leaving nothing for small fry and shad which is the primary forage in Tn River. They also jump in the boat with you when a motor comes by. Like to get hit in the face by 30 lb carp. They have injured a number of people
