went to taylorsville this am water was nasty. full of submerged tree branches,trunks,etc those tournament guy's lit out of there full blast too [crazy] . anyway i had a great day caught 10, 6 were keepers not a stellar day compared to some of you but it was for me and i feel that the knowledge i have gleaned from those of you on here is the reason. i had been i tried a few different things i learned on here but had the best luck using 2 jig set up under a slip float with minnows at 4 to 5 ft up very close to flooded timber. i also tried casting jig parallel to bank, drop shot, and putting reg float at 2' above a jig and popping the float like a popper. thanks to all of you for sharing your knowledge and techniques i hope to become much better but for now i am happy and had a great day

also i usually get to a spot and stay but today i hit and ran if no bites i moved on

Probably the best system for now ... seeing as how the fish are being pounded on a daily basis, and not all of them are being returned.

Thanks for the report !! That was just as I expected it to be, as far as the condition of the water, since it came up over 1.5ft after the 1.5" of rain they got.

Danny, good for you, nice report. I've not contributed much info, but good that you got some fish. Yep, most of the time I hit a spot, if nothing in about 10 minutes after working the area pretty good with a jig, I move to somewhere else. Seems like it they are there, they will hit a jig. The jig for me helps locate the fish, if I catch a couple and it stops on the jig, then I go back and use the jig with minnow or just minnows after they quit hitting only the jig and pick up a few more. Seems to work for a few more fish in the same area.

I agree with u. I wish they would set a size here at reelfoot. I see it all time. People have a cooler full and they will be 8-10 inches long. If it's not 10-11 inches I give it back and if it's post spawn I will throw the fat females back. I wish everyone would do same thing.
