What does a school of crappie look like on your fish finder screen?
I'll pull the card from my finder tonight and post what they look like to me. I marked some pretty good schools this week on drop that went from 14 foot to 20 foot. As soon as I saw the school I told my daughter to get ready the poles will be bending any second. Before I finished my sentence 4 poles bent over. She was pretty amazed and I was happy I didn't look like a fool.
Thanks, I look forward to the post.
I take lots of screen shots and study them when I get home. There is no way I can see all that is going on while on the water. Here are a few with some comments. Some of these shots are late Fall as you can tell by the water temperature.
One of my favorites--active fish feeding on bait and resting fish near the bottom.

One from this Summer--not much bait, but these are crappie because we caught some of them.

On my screen, when I'm lucky enough to have time to reach over and take a screenshot, Crappie look a lot like this :

I notice most of these shots (thanks for posting, by the way) look like they were taken when the boat was drifting or, very slow troll. I have a HB 597 and I quit using the DI, because I rarely saw the fish on it than with the regular sonar. I might have to re-visit that because these DI images are amazing. Mine is o.k. For structure, tho.
