BRM-Need you opinion!

Narrowed my search down to 203 Excel Bay Pro vs Xpress H20 Bay? How do you compare the hull designs between the two. I know that mite put you in tough spot since you sell both, but I also know you have no problem telling it like it is.

Xpress does not seem interested in customizing thier models at all (moving fuel tank to the front, extending a deck). Is Excel more open to custom work? Thanks big man.

Do yourself a favor and do a little unbiased reading on bassboatcentral on the Xpress boats. Seems to ba a few problems and not much factory support. But that is just what I have read and no first hand knowledge. Kind of like hearing it from your daughters boyfriend whos uncle knew a guy that fished with a guy whos friend had one. But there is some info in there first hand. Been doing a lot of looking and checkin on boats myself the last few months.

Not true. All brands have issues, but I've only had a few in my career with them. They handle those issues as well as anyone. Most online complaints are from people wanting special attention, and not being very reasonable. Some want you to drop everything for them. It's hard to please those kind no matter what. [emoji4]

They are both nice boats, and the pad ride on both is as good as it gets in aluminum boats. Excel sort of copied Xpress' boat hull. More details if ya call me. [emoji4]

Nobody does a lot of custom work on their boats. The braces, supports, and parts are cut with a CAD program. Can't rewrite a program to cut the parts and change the integrity of a boat for one or two people. No telling what the program cost to have made. It's just not cost effective to do.

Understand wholeheartedly, that's why I said I had no first hand knowledge, only read what was posted, and and he could research himself and draw his own conclusions. And I believe most complaints are actually dealer dilemmas they are passing off to customer being factory issue to avoid having to deal with it. Dealer support to me is worth more than most brand names.
