I ask the same question to those thousands of people who have applied for a one-way ticket to Mars.

yup, but their rocket blew up 6 seconds in liftoff. i think I will save my 250k to buy food
I just have to believe that at some point in the process it will occur to this guy that this was a really bad idea.
Strange as it seems, people are applying - not selling tickets. ESA (European Space Agency) amongst others are into this. I figure something like this will happen within the next 10 - 15 years. Here's one link from space.com:Quote:

I follow such things when it comes science, physics, and engineering. Don't ask me about Kim Kardashian, reality duck hunters, or bigfoot.
Since constrictors crush their prey to death to "soften" it 1st, don`t think he`ll do this even once and survive. ALL their prey no matter how big or small is crushed 1st; they apparently do not swallow live prey...as far as the 1 way ticket to Mars same deal. You`ll only do it once. It`s what is called a "non-repeatable performance"; otherwise known as a "Darwin Award"...
