I ask the same question to those thousands of people who have applied for a one-way ticket to Mars.

They are selling tickets to Mars? DP
    I am a heterosexual male. 2 Chronicles 7:14
"If my people who are called by My name will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from Heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land."

I just have to believe that at some point in the process it will occur to this guy that this was a really bad idea.

Strange as it seems, people are applying - not selling tickets. ESA (European Space Agency) amongst others are into this. I figure something like this will happen within the next 10 - 15 years. Here's one link from space.com:

Since constrictors crush their prey to death to "soften" it 1st, don`t think he`ll do this even once and survive. ALL their prey no matter how big or small is crushed 1st; they apparently do not swallow live prey...as far as the 1 way ticket to Mars same deal. You`ll only do it once. It`s what is called a "non-repeatable performance"; otherwise known as a "Darwin Award"...
