Update On Senior Jigger (Charlie Powell)

I have been asked to post updates by several on my Tournament Partner and Friend Charlie Powell aka Senior Jigger. As a lot of you already know Charlie is in Cleveland Ohio for a Heart Valve Procedure. It was first thought it could of been done robotically but after 3 days of testing and the results showing all 4 valves need work they will be cracking his chestbone for Open Heart Surgery Thursday. After this surgery he will remain in the Cleveland Heart Hospital for 2 to 3 weeks for Cardiac Rehab per his wife Donna.
Today he is having as I write this a Heart Catherization to check for additional blockage and repair if any, and an Ablation for a AFib problem.
Guys and Gals this is pretty serious and Prayers Appreciated for my Friend Charlie.

Moderators I know this isn't and has no relation to catching crappie so to speak but if you could please leave this up on the main thread for a few weeks so I can post updates.

I know all about AFib for I am dealing with the same thing. Been talking about having it corrected, but scared to do so.

Golly moses this is serious stuff. I hope it all works its way out and he is back to fishing in no time.

Ranger, my family thanks you and all the other CDC family for the prayers sent my sister Jean. She is doing great and we will definitely return all those prayers for Charlie, his family, and his doctors. I have had open heart surgery, but only minor compared to valve replacement. It was the toughest bite I ever had. God Bless! dj

UPDATE: Charlie's surgery is scheduled for 11am(EST) but could fall later due to surgeries in front of him. Surgery will last 5 to 6 hours and then 2 hours to stabilize him in ICU before family will be allowed to see him. He is in good spirits today and ready to get back on the water. The first thing he asked the Dr when they found out it would not be the simple and easy surgery was how long till I can go fishing. That's my Charlie. Thanks guys for all the concern and they desperately need our prayers.......Ranger
