My son, John is #51. He's a freshman now and part of the core of boys on this team who have been playing together since 3rd grade. I am READY for some football! We scrimmage tomorrow against Junction City............we'll find out what we've got! Go Hornets! GTT
What??? None of you crappie guys are also football guys?
Well, we drove down to El Dorado today for two scrimmage games. The first, at a toasty 11 o'clock against the Junction City Dragons, ended up being Dragons 12, my son's Harmony Grove Hornets 6. There were no extra point attempts or kick offs, just offense vs defense.
The second game, at a steamy 12:30 against the Drew Central (Monticello) Pirates, ended up being Hornets 30, Pirates 6. Other than being sweaty sticky steamy hot, the actual team looked good and made some good plays. I'm looking forward to a good Fall. GTT

Nothing like football in the south. My oldest grandson did not play and I got to wait for the 2 yr. old to get bigger to see if he will play. I have a 14 yr. old granddaughter who runs cross country and track. This is her first year of high school so will be interesting to see how she does. She and 3 others hold 2 school records in relays at Middle School, Different game now, we'll see.
I like some football. Ya'll don't get too hot in this summer weather.

BIG DAY TODAY! My son's team takes the home field tonight against the Bearden Bears. First game of the season! Mama's got the jersey washed and laid out for school today. Gonna be a throw down tonight, for sure. GTT
