Strike one on cranking
Spent the afternoon catching bass. Not the first crappie , we marked fish all afternoon. Black with a Crome belly was the bait of the day. We went to two areas known to produce crappie in the colder months to start out with. Not even a dink ??? We will try some different areas next week and report back. Oh I lost 4 cranks due to hang ups .

I hope to be out of the garden and back at martin by the first of the month. After reading more about pushing cranks i hope to give it a try.

Bama S, don't get discouraged. Pulling cranks is an art. Much like learning to feel the thump when you're single pole fishing. Keep trying and explore new spots (not the green carp). Before you know it you'll have it dialed in. Now I'm headed out the door to go pull a few in our tournament this morning. Best of luck to you, superfly.

Go get em superfly. Hope y'all catch a. Bunch. We will keep trying until we find them. I've never fished in the summer so I have to locate the crappie first then ill tweak the catching part.

Mite go in the AM and try to redeem myself. Ha ha. Do not like gettn skunked on the crappie even though we had a lota junk fish.
