Hate to hear that. I sure did enjoy reading his post. What a character.
That is sad news.
Did not know him well, but seemed to be a man with a big heart.
Ahhh Man ... I was sure Shoer was gonna beat his illnesses with shear determination and grit.
Sad to hear of his passing. R.I.P. Horseshoer

I'm really sorry to hear that. Jeff and I really got along good here along with others. I really missed him when He left and unfortunately lost touch with him. We really had a good time at some of the NWR Bashes chewing the fat after the fishing was over. I know as many others here knew him, He really lived life in his Younger days and unfortunately did not die old. I used to love reading his post on some of the stories He had from when He lived in Arizona and the guy was just a nut and a Hoot to read. He had a good heart and took many people fishing that were new here when He did not even know them. Even offered up his house for people to stay for bashes that came from a long ways away. I will say a line from Lonesome Dove Using his name. That was one of his favorite movies that we shot lines back and forth to each other on here.

I fished with Jeff a couple of Bashes and once at Prince on a 100+ degree day, some of the worst fishing I've experienced. I think in three trips we caught five fish between us, but it was some of the best times I ever had. We were from as different as backgrounds as could be, him a farm boy from Minnesota, me a beach bum from here. We shared stories from and laughed all day long. He will live long in our memories I'm sure.
I found his obituary. Click here.
I was trying to find the pic of him in the bathtub reading a book title, "Why men have nipples". He was quite the character.
this is really sad, I remember him keeping us all in stitches and he had more posts than anyone else I knew of.
