In the Build process of a tying table/desk.

Had some old cabinets, so I started cutting and fitting. I'm getting close but still have a ways to go.
Started with this from a kitchen I redo back last fall.

i used to have a similar set up. mine was a desk from staples a executive desk the one with drawers etc and i had a fly tieing desk tying station on top here is a few thing i have noticed about it it took up way to much room. the fly tying desk tying station my dad built for me out of red oak broke more tool siting in the slot for tools then it was worth lol's from throwing stuff on the desk. like snap a few pair of scissors tip off because of the tip face down in a shallow hole. also wrecked a few feather capes with those plastic slider drawers that you got there in your set up. but all and all it was a learning experience. now i tie on a tv tray table from wall mart total cost $10 saves ton of space folded up i store all my tying stuff in plastic shoe sized boxes with the snap on lids that do not destroy feathers.. you can take that tray table any ware needed in or out of the house.


if you de-sided to go with the shoe sized boxes you could always get a book case for the storage of multiple shoe sized boxes... i label mine with blue painter tape and a sharpie so i can change them around now and then...



any ways nice set up you got there! just though i would share some tips about mine and why i went to what i did ...
