OK guys, I'm tired of paying premium prices for small packs jig heads for my BG Baby Shad bodies. I'm gonna order some bulk packs of 1/16 and 1/32 oz heads. What do y'all prefer for hook size and color? Where do y'all get the best/cleanest heads?

I like a size 2 hook in my jig heads, I seem to get more hook ups with the larger hook but you also hang up a little more often.
I like minnow heads 1/32, and they work great on baby shad. When you stop them, they fall like a dying shad. I use them with #4 sickle hooks; you won't find a sharper hook. #4's are not to small to miss fish and they don't get hung up as much. I use round and minnow heads jigs with the #4 hooks in 1/16. I pour my own jigs, if you fish a lot it's worth it. If you don't fish much, it's better to buy them from someone on here.
Thanks guys. I've got some headed my way from Curtis. I emailed him and he replied right back. I like fast service and dang, he's fast :) Based on what they look like on his webpage and y'alls recommendation I think I'm gonna really like 'em.
I'm coming from the jig making forum! Where I found crappie.com I make my own heads! Put hooks in them that match the conditions! Long trolling deep, then mid depth and shallow! For dock shooting I do something different ! Love #2 hooks but they are heavy enough to effect the depth. I know within 4-6" how deep my jigs run! I weight them on my dads ole grain scales we use to use re-loading centre fire bullets . I do prefer round ball heads, just how I was self taught to use GPS for speed control. A sandy flat to experiment with when jigs when they bounced on the bottom at a controlled speedI knew how deep and made mental notes! And #2 hook is heavy enough to effect depth. Found hook ups were better and a wide gap help with loosing fish! My.02 LB
