Another thread on the Cajun Fryer
After reading the 56 post under another thread, I decided to buy one. I went to basspro to get one and couldn't believe their price. It was $380 for the cooker and $100for the stand AND THIS WAS FOR THE 4 gal model. I checked other dealers listed on their website and found the best price (closest to me) at Lumber 1 in Mayflower. I bought the 6 gal version (non stainless) with stand for $436 taxes and all. I called another guy in Clinton (who didn't have any in stock, but is ordering some to sell now) and he was kind of shocked they sold them for that price. I don't know what's a deal on them, but if that's a good price they have 3 left and a couple different models also..
One question I do have is what's the best tasting oil that's still relatively good for you to cook with. Since I won't have to completely change it very often maybe I can buy a little better oil than whatever has the best price when I go to the store...
