I thought about going down this weekend. Russ Bailey is supposed to be there.
Wheres it at?
Bass Pro. I think Crappiemax and I might be going, not sure what time the seminar is though.
I went sat afternoon with a couple buddys, sat through a seminar put on by a Crappie pro from Ohio, it was pretty good info I learned more about spider rigging!, plus I got to register to win the new PT175. Crappie madness is going on now, but I really dont see that many things on sale, I did buy a few slip bobbers at roughly a dollar off!
BPS...2014 Crappie Madness Event. They sent out a flyer a few weeks ago in the mail.
they have something on their website about it..... http://www.basspro.com/
Mike Walters and I did the seminars last weekend, and it was quite an event with a BIG crowd... I had over 70 attendees for my seminar and Walters did two that had at least 50 people at each (first 25 get a stainless steel coffee cup). Great prices on plastics like Bobby Garland, and a lot of stuff for the kids, as well. Another one of Ohio's finest (Russ Bailey) will be on Friday night and all day Saturday... it's a great way to beat the winter blues!
My dad and I went to see Mike Walters last Friday. He was a good speaker and it was good to hear his approach to tournament fishing. I got excited about the boat they were giving away when I filled out the form. They said that only people attending the seminars were eligible to win. Of course, then I realized that almost surely means every seminar at every bass pro in the US. But, I didn't go to win a boat. I went to hear a crappie pro speak and it was worth the trip.
I'm going to win the boat....
