Rod holders for trolling
For you guys that troll cranks, just curious can you use the same rod holders for cranking as you do spidering , I have the Cumberland 360 , with the low profile holders , seems like the rods would just jump off the sides , or do you pul from the back of the boat or off the sides, just like some different opinions

Greg i use the hi techs for both... Not sure about how the cumberlands look. But i pull off the back, but on the side out of the back.. I go 16, 12, 8 and 5. The two 5's are really the only ones that actually go off the back, just on either side of my motor

Coming from a Cumberland pro staffer, I would not recommend the 360's for crank bait pulling. A modification is needed to add the deep "V" holders to do so in my opinion. Excellent product but not made for this application......

Greg, if u decide hi techs, he makes a new version with a deeper v to aid in pulln cranks, but the older ones work fine for me.

The hi-techs and cumberland have virtually the same "holder" so you can do it with both but is not recommended. But again who's says you can't single pole with a cane pole?? Or spider rig with 9 foot poles? Jmo though.....

Hi-Teks. Ain't lost a pole yet!I push up front with cranks and pull in the back. You can buy extra brackets so you have 4 spots you can move them to.I have holders on all 4 corners!
