Mini-swimbaits for bluegills?

Anybody had any luck with them? I picked up a few the other day- 1.5 inch Creme swimbaits. A couple of them have spinners attached...

So far, I hadn't caught any, but I tried a place that isn't known for panfish. With the spinners, there's not much action at all on the tail. The ones that don't have spinners have more action- similar to a curly tail grub.

Just looking for opinions and if anyone has had any good luck with these or something similar.

If they are on the beds I am a firm believer it doesn't madder what you throw...

Charlie Brewer's Crappie Slider is a swimbait, and in my experience is far and away the deadliest lure I have used for bluegill. To me there's no comparison between it and any other artificial I've used.

I got some 1.5" clear plastic bodied minnow swimbaits, leadhead is inside the body, with a foil insert, and a black or blue tint on upper body. I think they are from Northland. Casting them on an ultralite rig in a couple ponds I fish they provedfairly effective. I caught several nice bream and several small bass.

I ordered some beetle spins off bps last nite In 1/50 oz. I think they will be a killer on gills.

Have fished for bream all my life.Thought I had it all and new it all about bream.This old dog was schooled on bream fishing on kentucky lake.Not magic but a 1/32 or 1/16 oz roadrunner with a orange/chart tail 1.5 in crappie tube.Brand doesn,t matter the cheapest.Add a wax worm(bee larva) walmart has powerbait called( maggots)that will work if you don't have wax worms.Just throw this in the bed let it lay in the bed.We use 4 # mr crappie in camo.Watch your line you will see the line start moving set the hook!!! I know this sounds wild but it will work.Don't matter if you are 6 or 86 anyone can fish with one of these.orange or chart for roadrunner head.i usually wear the paint off so it really doesn't matter about head color!!! good fishing!!! If you can,t watch line you can use a bobber.doen't work as good as being on bottom in the bream bed!!!

I have not had as much success with the slider for bluegill. What colors do you use?

White with the chartreuse tail is my favorite; after that is chartreuse with red tail. I haven't tried other colors beyond those two much.

Keep in mind though that the ponds I do most of my fishing on have bluegill that average between 8" and 10+", depending on the pond. Smaller 'gills might not jump on a 1.5" grub as readily. Although, I do have one pond in which the bluegill are not where they should be yet, only average around 6", and the bluegill still go crazy for the Crappie Slider in that pond.
