yep, dd ive seen it where the first side road was closed due to being underwater..............and thats almost to where you turn off on the levee.
I was by there saturday and it was way down . And there was only a few out there fishing .
Never seen it that high but have seen the bathroom on rankin side totally under water
I saw in the flood of 79 i think the water was level with the dam on both sides . The trees were under all but the very tops . That was a lot . I have stood in the parking lot and caught out by the picnic tables under water on the rankin side .
I'll be driving across the spillway in a few minutes and take a look.

It's at 28.3 right now which is the same as it was last year at it's highest. It's SUPPOSED to crest friday or so around 31 feet. Flood Stage is at 28 so we're getting flooding now in Jackson with another 2 1/2 foot of rise expected. Once it crests, it'll most likely stay there for a week or so.
we used to drive down and fish it quite a good bit..................had many a memorable trip fishing in the spillway there over the years. dont go there much lately.
