I have a Terrova with ipilot and US-2. I am looking at getting a Lowrance Elite-5 Gold combo. My questions are 1.Will this unit work with the US-2 trans built into my Terrova? 2. What cable will I need to hook this unit to my TM? 3. Will the GPS part of this unit work when the TM and the trans not in the water?

The GPS system is seperate from the depthfinder system ... so, yes .. it will read without the transducer being in the water.
If you don't get a specific answer here ... I'd call Minn-Kota & ask them what units are compatible with your trolling motor.

If it's not a DSI, yes it will work with US-2 using a MKR-US2-9 adapter cable from Minnkota, the tem gauge should work fine. The US-2 has a tempature sensor built in.
