didn't realize this. guess i have been illegal all this time. :yikes a ticket wouldn't bother me, but if i came up on someone in the water and didn't have something to throw to them, that would haunt me the rest of my life..... on my shoppin list for today......

I got mine too. What about having a paddle on board? Is that a required piece of safety equipment too? I've always carried one.
Probably should be ATM but dont think it is, got to get me a throwable. The inflatable being legal only when worn changed my mind about getting those tho.
I had been wondering about the mandatory wearing of the inflatable. It's good to have that clarified. I think I still want one.
Fished with my uncle pre-fishing the FLW tourney on Grenada last year and he never took his off, FLW is pretty strict on regs and he followed em to the "T".
Sounds like Pistolero would issue a citation if not wearing it.
o do. Since I go in salt water with mine, I have several other things I HAVE to have. Don;t mess wif me or I'll shoot ya with my flare gun LOL
I was under the impression that he would but only if you are in a boat 16' or shorter or in a larger boat underway without having it on. But now that I think about it...I guess if it was the only one in my boat, he would. No matter to me though. I carry 3 or 4 spares anyhow.
This fishing is complicated stuff.
I have and wear a inflatable.....I do not have to wear it all the time though because I also carry a regular life jacket onboard for everyone in the boat. The wearing of the inflatable to be legal is when thats all you have got.Quote:
