Throwables are mandatory in IL so I have one in my boat!
got two--one with and one without a rope.
I have one now . Right after i got my boat i got me one of them tickets . Didn't even have numbers for my boat yet .
Yep I got one. Learned all the regs when I took my Boating license class.

I broke mine tuesday, so look for a new one. Along with some small jackets for the kids.

It's also a good Idea to put about 10 or 15 ft of small nylon line on a throwable so you can retrieve and throw again if necessary also help to retrieve someone if you ever have to use it.
