Got a problem with my trailer lights. The whole left side of lights are dead. I haven't checked anything yet. I'm asking where to start and what to look for.

Find where the sides split. Most likely the connecter
Gewber
Or a bulb burned out on that side.
You calling me a gewber? That's worst than the kettle calling the skillet black.
Look under your hood on your truck.....there is a big black box that should say main load center or someting like that.....take the lid off of it and there are a lot of fuses in there look and you will see trailer lights, left side and right side......this is what I would check first. The fuse panel inside your truck cab has fuses for the truck lights only.
Morris, Take the Thingamabob off and check the dooflotchy. If it's loose, I bet that the lights not working is cause by the whatchamacallit not getting a connection. Hope that helped
Holis on your model truck I think your trailer fuses are under the hood. After you check that, start at your brake light and go forward to the connector to see if you have a bad spot or even a broke wire. I had a brake light ouy and it looked like something off the road jumped up and broke the wire right at the light.
Loose wire
