Dyed Badger
This is badger hackle that I dyed this week. I really like how they turned out. I love the black lateral line these add to the jig. I will definitely dye a few more colors of these... Maybe fl orange.... Any more ideas for colors?

They look good. I would try gray and I agree the orange will be a good color.

How do you go about dying them like that?

Hunter you die them like any other feather. Only the cream color on the outer edges takes the dye, not the black.

I like the stuff too and bought some a while back. Have not used it a lot yet, but like it for sure.

What kind of dye are you using?

Orange for sure, a bright gray would be nice too. Too bad they don't have a silver dye, they would be perfect for minnows. If you have some that are wide enough they would make a really nice body jig tying them in over a red thread base or a crystal chenille. That lateral black line would make them so realistic that crappie wouldn't know it wasn't a minnow.

grey and white are the 2 i would use alot..
