What size motor and what was your slow speed?

I know it doesn't sound like much of a difference, but I think you need to get it to 1.6 if you can. It depends on the time of year & water temp but this time of the year I think slower is better.
I bet you forgot to tie a crankbait to the back of the bucket, I used to wonder why mine didn't catch anything too:)

I had a keeper on one and was reeling it in and I had three other crankbaits with it. And to top it off the dang fish came off at the boat.
