5 poles per person.
but tournament rules are 4 per person with a max of 8.
Boy, wouldn't that be a pain in the butt. 5 poles per person, 2 people and pulling crankbaits with 10 poles. I get tangled up enough with 8 so I usually run just 6 now
Noticed at times you'll go 3, 4 or even 5 times and not lose one. Then you go 1 time and lose 5 or 6. Hurts I tell you
Stop pullin in the stump fields dummy!
DD get some 5/16 stainless aircraft cable and you never lose another crank baits.
Thought that 20 lb braid would help out but the places I been fishing lately on the rez have ALOT of stumps on the bottom and I've been bumping it off the bottoms. HOPE to try them this afternoon
The braid was just more trouble for me. Thought I would be able to pull them loose but instead it just got tighter and tighter until it almost pulled the rod out of my hand and I finally broke it off. Thought I was going to strip the gears on the reel. After this happenned a couple of times I went back to my 10 lb.
Either use a short piece of dowel rod and wrap the line around it several times and pull OR pull out line and wrap it around the rod multiple times (at least three or four times) Wrap it above the handle. Then pull to break even 80# braid. Either way works great. On Crappie I don't use the dowel, but on catfish I do.
