Thought I would be able to pull them loose but instead it just got tighter and tighter until it almost pulled the rod out of my hand and I finally broke it off. Thought I was going to strip the gears on the reel. After this happenned a couple of times I went back to my 10 lb.

    Either use a short piece of dowel rod and wrap the line around it several times and pull OR pull out line and wrap it around the rod multiple times (at least three or four times) Wrap it above the handle. Then pull to break even 80# braid. Either way works great. On Crappie I don't use the dowel, but on catfish I do.

    I usually get pretty lucky but these are some serious logs on the bottom I've been getting on lately. Guess I need to quit chasing those darn Stripers. LOL

    Several weeks ago, there was a benefit crappie tournament on Sardis and one of the sponsors was a campgrouind with cabins and I din't believe it was the state park. Any body know what I'm refering to?

    Next week some time if ya Can. Meeting my brother for lunch today and HE'S BUYING !!!!!! He asked where a good place to eat was and you know where I tolt him. Hummmm, let me think, Bass Pro has some decent food, I'll meet you there. Course I tolt him this AFTER he said he was a buying LOL
