when do you guys like to spider rig or pull cranks, when do you decide which one to do or do you do what you like to do best? and what jigs colors/ crank baits do you like.
I start pulling cranks when the water temp gets above 70 and keep pulling them until it drops into the low 60's. I spider rig and long line troll during the winter and spring.
I think it depends on the depth the fish are in too plus what Wayne sez. I did pretty good in the Summer in 20 ft on Degray or 15' on Nimrod (In open water). I will be concentrating in 10' spider rigging till next summer. I still haven't mastered spider rigging and will have to repent several times before I can say I have been successful with it.
